- 8/26/24 - Alex Guirgues, Mason Pentes, and Carly Schultz join the Kim Lab as new undergraduate research assistants. Welcome, Alex, Mason, and Carly!
- 8/6/24 - John Kim, Ryan Summers, and Shreyas Rao were awarded a new National Science Foundation funding (NSF-OISE/IRES #2419629) to direct an international undergraduate research experience in Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica (iBET), Oeiras, Portugal.
- 8/3/24 - Congratulations to Wilmer Andújar for completing his M.S. Chemical Engineering. Now on to Ph.D.!
- 7/25/24 - Loria DiMartino presents at UA SGPI Poster Competition and is awarded 1st place! Congratulations, Loria!
- 7/24/24 - John Kim presents at ECI Biochemical and Molecular Engineering XXIII: Accelerating Biotech Solutions to aid a Changing World in Dublin, Ireland. He also had the opportunity to catch up with his extended Jay Bailey academic family.
- 6/29/24 - John Kim co-directs 2024 UA ChBE Study Abroad Program with Shreyas Rao in Copenhagen, Denmark.
- 6/25/24 - Spenser Brown (PhD '23)'s project on fluid shear stress-induced extracellular vesicle-mediated changes of breast cancer cell stemness is published in Biomolecules with co-authors Maggie Radcliffe, Joseph Danner, Wilmer Andújar Cruz, Kim Lackey, Han-A Park, and Steven Weinman. Congratulations!

- 4/12/24 - John Kim was awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award by UA's Office for Undergraduate Research.

- 1/26/24 - John Kim was invited to attend ACS Leadership Institute.
- 1/3/24 - Collaboration project on the delivery of nanoparticles in brain injury models with previous visiting scholar Dr. Dong Woon Kim was published in Nanoscale.

Alex Avera presented her work, "Glioblastoma Organoids Model Extracellular Matrix Heterogeneity," and Spenser Brown presented her work, "Role of Extracellular Vesicles in Maintaining Stemness in Breast Cancer Metastasis." Also, John Kim was honored with The James M. Van Lanen Distinguished Service Award.
